Learning Environment Design and Innovation
Architecture and Strategic Design,

I am deeply devoted to designing learning environments that reflect the social values, learning cultures, and technological transformations of the 21st century. This mode of spatial and pedagogical innovation sets the stage for the seeds for deep change in a world filled with both crisis and hope. My learning environments work began with strategic research in London at DEGW and research grounded in the Montessori method at the MIT Media Lab. It continues into everyday professional practice at Supernormal and my own teaching at Harvard GSD.

Design work includes adaptive re-use for stages of learning from early childhood and upper school innovation to the adult workplace. It also includes strategic design to re-imagine spaces and pedagogy for 21st century culture.
